Animatic

For some reason, WordPress.com decided to be nasty to me and not let me upload my animatic video, so to defeat the evil elves of WordPress.com, here’s the link!

One Response to Animatic

  1. Feedback from JDU

-the singer must sing the first line. perhaps consider starting the video with the camera on the guitar and then pan/tilt to the singer.
-generally, the editing is to the beat. I like how you continue to go to the guitarists when the guitars are the most prominent part of the song.
-I like how you intergrated the use of panning into your storyboard. Make sure you practise this.
-30 is the first big ‘riff’. The energy in this part of the song must be shown visually. What are you gong to show?
-some of the shot durations are very long. How are you going to keep the audience engaged? use of movement. Narrative within the performance, like a game.
-145..the band is running during a ‘lull’ in the song. What is gong on here? Then, at 150, a guitar comes n. Will this be the first instrument the camera focussed on? How will the pan transition into the introduction of the second instrument.
-226 and 246–the temp picks up. How will you show movement, develop pace?
-I like the zoom at the end.

    Top Tip
    1. The idea of one cut is excellent. However, you must incorporate some close-ups and extreme close-ups. How are you going to do this and when?
    2. Rehearse with the camera numerus times. Professionals usually take ten times to get this right.
